The Prime Minister discussed the subcontinent’s music with him during the meeting on Tuesday evening, her Special Assistant Mahbubul Hoque Shakil told reporters.

 

Hasina appreciated the internationally acclaimed artiste for promoting the music of the subcontinent before the world.

 

The Prime Minister’s son Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s younger daughter Sheikh Rehana’s son Radwan Mujib Siddiq Bobby and his wife Peppi Kiviniemi-Siddiq were present during the meeting that lasted for about an hour.

 

Rahman, on his first-ever tour to Bangladesh, is set to enchant the audience of Dhaka on March 13 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.

 

He will perform at the concert organised by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup.
